Poker Hands Order and Rankings

The below list will give you a good outline of the order of winning poker hands, great when you’re starting out and as a check list if you’re new to online poker.  When you’re playing, a two is generally the lowest card and an Ace is the highest, but Aces can also be low if you are creating a straight (a run) of say A, 2, 3, 4, 5.

Poker Card Rank

The order (or rank) of cards is as follows from lowest to highest:

2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King, Ace

Poker Cards Suits

The suit of your cards are also important as you will find out later, but the four different suits are all of the same value, for example a 4 of Hearts is the same rank as a 4 of Diamonds.

The different suits in no particular order are as follows:

Clubs (black), Diamonds (red), Spades (black), Hearts (red)
